Notorious ZipCodes

When "Beverly Hills 90210" premiered in 1990, it not only made 90210 the most famous zip code in the United States, it became a national phenomenon. Those five numbers not only defined a geographical area, but came to embody an entire way of life. In this case, it was the life of rich, entitled teens and the type of excessive drama that captured the interesting and hearts of an entire generation.

Zip codes have been used to define areas of major wealth and poverty, populations large and small. Did you know that only two "people" in the United States have their own zip code? One of them's the President of the United States—the other is Smokey the Bear.
